Buying a puppy from us
All our puppies are sold on a contract (a sales agreement). Why, you may ask? The contract serves a few purposes:
- It identifies the relationship that will exist between you, us and the puppy.
- It impresses on you the weight of the decision you are about to make and the responsibility you are taking on.
- It defines our responsibility to you and the puppy for its future life with you.
- It also includes a health guarantee clause.
Having a sales agreement avoids confusion and gives a clear understanding to all parties of their responsibilities. Too often arguments arise because there is no clear understanding by one side or the other. The sales agreement is intended to mitigate that.
General Process
When buying a puppy from our kennel there are some general things we do as part of the sale process:
- We only take deposits once the puppy is 2 weeks old.
- Expression of interest does not reserve a puppy. Paying a deposit does.
- Everything is on a first-come-first-served basis. That means, your ability to reserve and then choose a puppy is based on when we received your deposit and how many other people have already placed theirs.
- Once you are happy to proceed with the sale, we will send you an email with a draft sales agreement for your review, a copy of our diet plan and bank details for the deposit.
- Review the sales agreement and let us know of any questions or concerns.
- Choosing your pup will only happen at 6.5-7 weeks old. We will guide you to the best pup based on what you have told us you are looking for.
- If you change your mind after 5 weeks and decide not to take a pup at all, we will refund you half of the deposit, as we may then struggle to find a new home.
- We can assist in arranging transport and getting quotes, but all transport costs are covered by you.
- All puppies are microchipped, wormed and fully vaccinated before they leave
